Why I'm a Chaplain at the U of A: Chaplaincy was an incredibly important aspect of my faith development as student and I feel privileged to offer that experience for others. I believe that a university education is not just about filling your head with knowledge but about developing your whole person, including the spiritual dimension of what it means to be human. Augustana's mission, as a liberal arts and science faculty of the U of A, is directed towards whole person development as well - so chaplaincy has a great partnership with this faculty.
Current Focus at the U of A: I wear three hats as Augustana Chaplain: councillor, professor in Religious Studies, and pastor (providing a variety of Christian worship opportunities, service and study opportunities and directing a group of peer ministers).
Other passions and interests: Spending time with my family and friends, cooking, making wine, gardening and good coffee.
If you are ever in Camrose, please drop by for Chai with the Chaplain!
